Welcome on a website of the "Zurawli" Male Ukrainian ChoirMale Choir „Zhuravli” is a representative ensemble of Association of Ukrainians in Poland. The members of a choir are Ukrainians living in Poland for hundreds years coming from several places all over the country. Most of them are descendants of Ukrainians expelled by the communistic regime in 1947 from their ethnical regions in southeastern Poland and scattered throughout the northwestern part of the country. Nowadays singers live in Kołobrzeg, Gdańsk, Koszalin, Biały Bór, Legnica, Warszawa, as well as in Górowo Iławieckie, Kraków, Przemyśl and several other smaller or bigger settlements. The distance between places of origin determines form of choir work. Every month for one weekend singers as wandering flock of wild birds („zhuravli” means „the cranes”) come flying from everywhere to one chosen place for repetition and concerts. The fact that they are singing today proves that their ancient music traditions, the ability to rejoice in song is still alive. UKRAIŃSKI CHÓR MĘSKI "ŻURAWLI"ul. Kościeliska 7
